Additions to split levels are extremely difficult and it's easy to see how "just throw up some walls with trusses" grows into doing something that actually looks good. Stay tuned.

moving forward
Good luck to the new administration and I agreed with most of the empty vapor that was flashed across t.v. screens last night. But in spite of all of his good intentions BO is left with a corrupt, misguided Senate that will contiue to drag this country into kaos. Come on, how much money can they print?
Our country's chances of success would be greatly improved if we did not listen to the partisan hacks that have got us into this mess. Including but not limited to HReid, CDodd, JReed, CSchumer, CShays, BBoxer, Fienstien, TKennedy, BFrank, and on. All of them voted for the war, had direct ties to Fannie Mac, take big gulps of pork and accept money from people that they are supposed to be overseeing. Then add in AFranken, SWhitehouse and you-know CKennedy to whip up this recipe for disaster. None of them would understand doing what is right only care about public opinion pols and always ask "what's in it for me."
The misguided notion that government will save this country continues. Is anyone really surprised that government payroll now surpasses manufacturing payroll in this country?

buy 'em if you see 'em alert
This past season there was a limited version of Nirvana's In Utero available at most music retailers. Hard core fans have found out this [edited] version contains the original Scott Litt mix of three songs that were previously only available on the Pennyroyal Tea cd single that was recalled back '92. Check your local music stores for the version pictured below and look for 1.) turtle on the back cover, no graphic details. 2.) Waif Me is listed in upper right hand corner instead of the original title, Rape Me. 3.) UPC has 0527 at the end. The cd's are still available cheap but disappearing quickly. Good luck.

spending wisely
My favorite purchase over the last few weeks. This thing is so much fun and sounds incredible on my computer speakers, much better than my standalone unit. I got Skeletal Lamping and the turntable with 20% off coupons at Newbury Comics for a combined $100. The best thing is the player is portable. Fun.
